Compliance with laws, societal norms and internal policies is an essential part of a positive and open organizational culture.
You may be aware of harmful behavior or risks that could endanger the Dresden University Medicine. By submitting a report, you help to identify financial risks and potential reputational damage at an early stage, thereby supporting the sustainable success of the University Hospital Dresden and helping to safeguard associated jobs.
Reports concerning violations of laws and internal policies are accepted and reviewed. Please only submit information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. False accusations or deliberately misleading information should not be submitted via this system.
During the reporting process you will receive detailed information about the available report categories.
IIf you wish to submit a report, either by name or anonymously, click the ”Report” button at the top of the introduction page or the ”Submit report or enter numerical code” button at the bottom of the page.
The reporting process consists of six steps:
Preliminary information
You will first be asked to read an information text explaining how to select the appropriate reporting channel and how to use the secure mailbox of the whistleblower portal.
After confirming this information, you will be asked to select the focus area of your report. There are five focus areas available, as well as two additional focus areas for reporting violations of human rights and environmental protection obligations under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
Reporting page
Once you have selected the focus area, the reporting page on the GlobaLeaks platform will open. Please note that after selecting your focus area, you will need to manually change the language on the next page to continue in English.

Submission of the report
You can then describe the issue in your own words. You have up to 5,000 characters available for the free-text field (approximately one page). You may also upload supporting documents of up to 30 MB. Please note that documents may contain metadata or other information that could identify the author. If you wish to remain anonymous, remove any personal or identifying data before uploading files.
Case-related questions
You will then be asked to answer a number of questions in a simple multiple-choice format. These questions help us process your report more efficiently.
A secure mailbox
After submission, a secure mailbox with a 16-digit access code is created automatically. This mailbox will be used to provide feedback, ask follow-up questions and keep you informed about the status of your report. Please keep your access code safe and confidential.
Important note: Because reports are submitted without registration, you will not receive automatic notifications when a response is available. Please check your mailbox regularly.
You can access your mailbox at any time using the 16-digit code by clicking ”Submit report or enter numerical code” and entering your 16-digit code.
As long as you do not enter any identifying information, the whistleblower reporting system will protect your anonymity through technical safeguards.
Protecting whistleblowers is a top priority.
Your report is protected through encryption and additional security mechanisms. If you submit your report anonymously, you are not required to provide any personal details. Please ensure that you do not enter information that could identify you. Authorized administrators will use the secure mailbox to provide feedback on your report or request additional information if clarification is needed. You will remain anonymous throughout this communication.
For enhanced anonymity you may access the whistleblower reporting system using the Tor Browser, which provides additional protection for your identity. It is free and open-source software.
